You may be returning to work after bereavement, family breakdown, abuse, exploitation, caring responsibilities, illness, unemployment or another major life change.

Yes. We can help you understand what information to include, identify transferable skills and present your experience clearly. We may also help you tailor your CV for suitable opportunities. You remain responsible for checking that all information is accurate.
We can explain questions, help you organise your experience and review your answers. We will not provide false information, complete assessments dishonestly or apply for roles without your involvement.
Yes. We can help you describe a career gap honestly and positively without sharing more personal information than necessary. This may include time away from work because of caring responsibilities, illness, family circumstances, bereavement, abuse or recovery.
Yes. Support may include common interview questions, mock interviews, confidence building and help explaining your skills and experience. We may also help you prepare for telephone, video or in-person interviews.

Yes. We can help you explore courses that match your goals and current skill level. This may include English, maths, digital skills, customer service, administration, health and social care or other vocational training. Course availability and funding will depend on the provider and your eligibility.
We cannot guarantee payment for training or qualifications, however, as our donors continue to fund our education program, you may be able to receive scholarship. We will also help you identify free or funded courses, grants, bursaries or partner programmes.
Yes. Volunteering or work experience can help you develop skills, rebuild routine, gain confidence and obtain a recent reference. We can help you explore suitable opportunities that reflect your interests, wellbeing and availability.
No. Mindful Ummah cannot guarantee employment, interviews or a particular salary. We can help you become better prepared, identify suitable opportunities and connect with relevant organisations or employers where partnerships are available.
We may help you explore a business idea; recognise the skills you need and connect with appropriate enterprise-support organisations. We do not provide regulated tax, legal, investment or financial advice.
We understand that emotional wellbeing can affect learning, interviews and returning to work. Your support plan can include manageable goals, regular encouragement and help developing routines. Where appropriate, we may also connect you with mental health or counselling support.
Yes. We will try to make our support accessible and may help you find ESOL, workplace-English or communication courses. Interpreter or language support will depend on availability.
No. Mindful Ummah welcomes people from all backgrounds. Faith-sensitive support is available when requested, but it will never be imposed.
The length and frequency of support will depend on your goals, circumstances and the availability of our team. We will agree a personal plan with you and review your progress regularly.
Yes. You can contact us directly, or a professional or trusted organisation may refer you with your knowledge and consent. Referrals may come from housing teams, social workers, healthcare professionals, community organisations, refuges, training providers or employment services.
A member of our team will contact you to arrange an initial conversation about your experience, goals, responsibilities and any barriers you are facing. Together, we will consider suitable next steps and whether Mindful Ummah or one of our partners can provide the right support.
