Some support may be provided directly by Mindful Ummah and some through our partners.
We cannot influence decisions made by social services, local authorities or the courts. Our role is to support your emotional wellbeing, personal stability and ability to take positive steps in your life.
No. Mindful Ummah does not provide legal advice or representation in care proceedings. We may help you find an appropriately qualified solicitor, advocate or specialist organisation.
This will depend on the type of meeting, your needs and the availability of our team. Where we cannot attend, we may help you prepare questions, organise your thoughts and find suitable advocacy or legal support.
We will not normally contact your social worker or another professional without your knowledge and consent. There may be limited exceptions where information must be shared because of a serious risk of harm, a safeguarding concern or a legal obligation.
We may help you prepare emotionally for contact, manage difficult feelings and reflect on your wellbeing before and after visits. We do not supervise contact or make decisions about contact arrangements.

Where possible, we aim to provide a consistent point of contact so you can build a trusted relationship without repeatedly explaining your situation. This may depend on staff availability and the type of support required.
We treat your information with care and respect. What you share will normally remain private within the service. Information may need to be shared where there is a serious risk of harm, a safeguarding concern or a legal requirement. We will explain this clearly when support begins.
